MOVEDAZE Magnetic Towel — Hot Pink

The MOVEDAZE training towel in Hot Pink: a loud hot pink with the wordmark in white

EGP 399Small size

Magnetic corners

Attaches to gym equipment, net posts and railings. Stays where you put it.

100% microfibre

Light, packs down small, and dries fast — so it's ready to go again.

Size

Never iron the magnetic corners. Heat damages a magnet permanently. Iron the body of the towel only, on low, if at all.

1
  • Magnetic corners — grips metal, so the towel never hits the floor
  • Brushed microfibre: genuinely soft against the skin, not slick or scratchy
  • Dries far faster than cotton terry, so it goes back in the bag without soaking it
  • Two sizes: Small 45 × 60 cm and Medium 60 × 90 cm

Made for

  • Gym and weights
  • Tennis and racket sports
  • Running and cycling
  • Team training

The idea

Why we made it

Every gym towel has the same two problems. It ends up on the floor, and it never dries. So we fixed both. Magnets in the corners mean it grips whatever metal is nearest — the machine, the bench frame, the net post — and stays within reach. Microfibre means it comes out of the wash and dries fast, instead of sitting damp in your bag. And because it is brushed rather than left technical, it is soft on skin you have just worked hard in.

Looking after it

  • Machine wash warm with like colours.
  • Tumble dry low, or hang — it dries quickly either way.
  • No fabric softener: it coats the fibres and blunts how much water they hold.
  • Do not iron the magnetic corners. Heat can damage the magnets — iron the body of the towel only, on low, if you iron it at all.

Questions

Which size should I get?

Small is 45 × 60 cm — a face-and-neck towel that lives in a gym bag and clips onto the machine you are using, with a magnet in one corner. Medium is 60 × 90 cm, enough to go over your shoulders or cover a bench, and it has magnets in two corners rather than one. If you are choosing between them for the gym, most people want Medium.

What can it attach to?

Anything ferrous and within reach: the frame of a machine, a loaded bar, a squat rack, a tennis net post, a railing. If a magnet sticks to it, the towel stays on it.

How does the magnetic attachment work?

There are magnets built into the corners of the towel. Fold a corner over anything metal — a gym machine, a bench frame, a net post, a railing — and it grips, so the towel stays where you left it instead of ending up on the floor.

Will the magnets survive the washing machine?

Yes. They are sealed inside the corner seam rather than clipped or glued on, so there is nothing to work loose. Wash the towel normally. The only thing to keep away from them is a hot iron.

Can I iron it?

Iron the body of the towel on a low setting if you want to, but keep the iron away from the magnetic corners. Direct heat can damage a magnet, and once it is weakened it does not come back. Microfibre comes out of the wash close to flat anyway, so most people never bother.

How does it feel against the skin?

Soft. That is the part people do not expect from a quick-dry towel — microfibre has a reputation for feeling technical and slippery, and this does not. The pile is brushed so it stays gentle on skin you have just been in the sun or the sea with, and it does not go scratchy after washing the way cotton terry can.

How strong are the magnets?

Strong enough to hold the towel's own weight on a gym machine, a net post, a railing or a pole, and to hold two corners of the towel to each other. They are not designed to carry anything heavier than the towel itself.

Is it safe near a phone or a card?

The magnets are the strength used in bags and cases, not the kind used in workshops. Keeping the towel folded on top of a phone is fine. As with any magnet, do not press it against a hotel key card or an older magnetic-stripe card and leave it there.
