Why we made it
A beach towel spends its life doing two things badly: taking up half your bag, and staying wet. Microfibre solves both — it packs down to a fraction of a terry towel and dries quickly, on the sunbed or after a wash at home. The magnetic corners are the part you do not expect to need until the wind picks up, or until you would rather hang it off the railing than drop it on the sand. And it is soft, which is the thing people always ask about and rarely expect.

Questions
How big is it?
70 × 140 cm — a full-size beach towel you can lie on, with magnets in two corners so it can also hang off a railing or a jetty rather than sitting in the sand.
Does sand come off it?
Shake it out and most of it goes. Microfibre has a much shorter pile than cotton terry, so there is less for sand to bury itself in.
How does the magnetic attachment work?
There are magnets built into the corners of the towel. Fold a corner over anything metal — a gym machine, a bench frame, a net post, a railing — and it grips, so the towel stays where you left it instead of ending up on the floor.
Will the magnets survive the washing machine?
Yes. They are sealed inside the corner seam rather than clipped or glued on, so there is nothing to work loose. Wash the towel normally. The only thing to keep away from them is a hot iron.
Can I iron it?
Iron the body of the towel on a low setting if you want to, but keep the iron away from the magnetic corners. Direct heat can damage a magnet, and once it is weakened it does not come back. Microfibre comes out of the wash close to flat anyway, so most people never bother.
How does it feel against the skin?
Soft. That is the part people do not expect from a quick-dry towel — microfibre has a reputation for feeling technical and slippery, and this does not. The pile is brushed so it stays gentle on skin you have just been in the sun or the sea with, and it does not go scratchy after washing the way cotton terry can.
How strong are the magnets?
Strong enough to hold the towel's own weight on a gym machine, a net post, a railing or a pole, and to hold two corners of the towel to each other. They are not designed to carry anything heavier than the towel itself.
Is it safe near a phone or a card?
The magnets are the strength used in bags and cases, not the kind used in workshops. Keeping the towel folded on top of a phone is fine. As with any magnet, do not press it against a hotel key card or an older magnetic-stripe card and leave it there.
